I am an "advanced" amateur, basically building my last three houses (along with lots of other stuff) . This thing is probably my most current tool, and very versatile for framing and clean work. The straight galvanized nails are quite cheap and easy to accept, with every stamp I have tried working impartial beautiful. The available lengths cloak a wide variety of applications. Will probably shoot 500 or more nails on a single charge. Easy depth adjustment and sinks the longest nails easily into tough pressure treated wood. Have not had any problems getting into tight places (supposedly the angled version would be better for tight spots, but I have never needed it, and I exhaust this thing a lot) . Solid construction, I don't baby this thing (of course I don't abuse it either) . Hangs from its belt loop well.
You might want to believe the angled version (which seems to be cheaper than this one is factual now), but I have never felt the need for it and the angled nails are quite a bit more expensive. I have no problems with the weight of this tool and I am only 150 pounds (below average size) . Rarely catch jams, and they are easily and swiftly cleared with no tools. Lickety-split and easy to utilize, works well, sterling, nails are economical to spend, no air hoses to journey around, no compressor to listen to. Not powerful to criticize, but I guess Dewalt could lower their sign some, but this is a very, very grand tool. And attain nails can be faded in a lot more places than I originally would of view.
You can't ask for more. The gun fires like a flash, no hessitation at all, the mercurial fire mode makes swiftly work of rapid work. The optional nail sizes means you will have the accurate nail for any job. And it fires 100+ on one battery. The work light even uses flashes to boom you when the battery is outrageous, or a nail is jambed. This one is worth the money, I esteem it.
This gun is enormous, except for the short life span. I've gone through five of the guns over the last 2 years. I install atrocious board in track housing, so hose free is almost necessity. I did the math and they shoot about 100,000 nails before they wear out, which could last a life time for some. My batteries are all old out and its time to switch to a pneumatic hitachi.
